International Law Firms run together with the Bar of Brussels to support Nasci

30 May 2011 On Sunday, 29th of May more than 320 lawyers and staff from national and international law firms in Brussels once again joined together as a single team to participate in the annual 20 km run through Brussels and raise money for charity. In celebration of its 200th anniversary, the Bar of Brussels also fielded a large number of its lawyers to join the team.
Now in its seventh year, this charitable initiative, better known as the “Legal Run”, has become a unique tradition within the Brussels legal community. Each participating firm sponsors its own runners and over the past six years, the Legal Run has raised approximately EUR 110,000 for charity.
This year, the Legal Run is supporting Nasci, a Brussels-based charity. Nasci is dedicated to helping pregnant women, single mothers and families facing particularly difficult living conditions, who do not have the means to satisfy the basic day to day needs of their family. With a unique approach in Brussels, Nasci offers professional support and ensures that its aid is of high quality and easily accessible. Nasci provides a place of trust for mothers and children and offers material and educational support, medical aid and advice. It is a centre for recreational, cultural and training activities.
