Bird & Bird today boosts its International Automotive Group with the appointment of Lawrence Freeman as Senior Counsel in Brussels

Lawrence joins from Tesla Inc. where he spent the past five years as European Counsel. With nearly 25 years of experience as a competition and regulatory lawyer both in-house and in private practice, he advises on a wide range of EU regulatory, commercial, competition and compliance issues. He has particular expertise in the regulatory frameworks applicable to electric and autonomous vehicles. Lawrence will also work closely with the firm's Tech & Comms and Energy & Utilities sector groups, drawing on the extensive expertise he gained during his time working for one of the world's most innovative automotive companies.
