Mark English Joins the Firm as a Partner for the Garrigues Brussels Office

Garrigues has reinforced its competition practice with the addition of Mark English as a new partner in the Brussels office. His appointment is subject to approval at the next partners’ meeting.
With more than 12 years’ experience in international law firms in Brussels, Mark has represented clients in some of the highest profile competition law cases in recent years. His practice focuses on infringement proceedings, merger control, litigation before EU courts and damages claims before courts in different jurisdictions.
The new Garrigues partner holds a Degree in Law from the Sheffield University (United Kingdom) and carried out post-graduate studies at the Oxford Institute of Legal Practice (Oxford and the Oxford Brookes University, United Kingdom). He also holds an LLM in European Legal Studies from the College of Europe (Bruges, Belgium). He has dual British and Belgian nationality and is also a member of the Brussels Bar Association and a solicitor in England and Wales.
The Garrigues Brussels office has a team of distinguished lawyers renowned for their technical excellence and proven experience in administrative and judicial proceedings before the courts and institutions of the European Union and its Member States. The Garrigues lawyers in Brussels represent clients on some of the main international competition law cases.
