Description:

This course provides a clear overview of how EU administrative procedures work, including the rules, practices, and current issues involved in enforcing EU laws and policies. The objective of the course is to provide an overview of the existing administrative procedures, structures, and actors within the EU multilevel system.

By taking this course, you will:

  • enhance your ability to understand and work with various types of administrative procedures within the EU multilevel system (decision-making procedures, delegation of powers, co-regulation/self-regulation, review, investigation and consultation procedures, composite/hybrid regulatory networks, and procedures);
  • enhance your ability to understand and operate with various types of EU administrative actions (e.g. binding and non-binding acts, regulatory and individual acts, preparatory and internal administrative acts, public-private frameworks) in the context of EU administrative procedures;
  • improve your understanding of the roles and responsibilities of the various actors of EU administration (EU institutions, offices, bodies and agencies, national authorities, private stakeholders), and the interplay between them in the context of EU administrative procedures of EU administrative law, including the impact of AI technologies.

Course methodology:

Our methodology has a clear practical approach. Therefore, the course includes case studies and interactive workshops with practical examples, giving participants the opportunity to become familiar with the types of situations in which they can apply what they have learned to their daily work.

The Q&A sessions provide the participants with the opportunity to ask and share experiences to gain a better understanding of how to deal with challenges associated with EU administrative procedures and structures established for the purpose of the implementation of EU law and policies.
