Objective
This online conference aims to equip legal professionals in the field of consumer financial services with the latest developments. The conference focuses on the changes that the 2030 Consumer Agenda, the Digital Fairness Act and the Savings and Investments Union (SIU) are bringing to consumer protection in financial services.
Participants will gain valuable knowledge about ongoing reforms, such as retail financial services, payment services and the adoption of the Third Directive on Payment Services (PSD3) and the Payment Services Regulation (PSR), transparency rules, the objective of financial literacy, and the recommendation for Member States to establish savings and investments accounts.
Attendees will learn about the impact of AI on retail financial services, how access to cash and other digital currencies is ensured and how consumers are protected in the crypto market. The conference will look at recent case law regarding the protection of consumers in financial services.
