The highly controversial Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (EU) 2024/1760, widely referred to as 'CS3D', will enter into force on 25 July 2024. Although Member States have two years to transpose the CS3D into national law, companies are advised to prepare now for the newly created obligations and implement robust due diligence measures to identify and address human rights in their operations and value chains.

This compact online seminar will bring together experts, ministry officials and stakeholders to explain who has what obligations under the new directive, what sanctions to expect and how it interacts with other EU and national legislation.

Key topics

  • Companies with the CS3D: scope, obligations, sanctions;
  • CS3D in the context of EU law: overlapping requirements and handling;
  • Jurisdiction and applicable law;
  • Practical compliance: implementing corporate due diligence.

Who should attend?

Lawyers in private practice; in-house counsel; ministry officials; staff of EU institutions and permanent representations; representatives of consumer and business organisations as well as NGOs; judges; stakeholders; academics.
