Banking and Finance specialist Frédéric Heremans joins Strelia Brussels as a partner

Frédéric Heremans is an expert in banking and finance. He advises major international and domestic banks and international groups in domestic and cross-border financing transactions, including syndicated loans, acquisition finance, real estate finance, structured finance, and securitisation. Frédéric also has relevant experience in mergers & acquisitions, including share and asset deals, private equity, restructuring and reorganisations, and shareholders agreements.

Prior to joining Strelia, Frédéric worked in other leading law firms, in Brussels and in London. Frédéric received his law degree from the University of Louvain (UCL) in 1994. He has been a member of the Bar of Brussels since 1995.

Frédéric Heremans is, amongst others, ranked as "highly regarded" by IFLR1000 and is recommended in Legal 500. He is the author of various articles in the field of banking and finance.

Tax specialists Jean-Luc Dascotte and Stanislas Bunetel join Strelia Luxembourg as partners

Jean-Luc Dascotte is a tax specialist with more than 20 years' experience in Luxembourg, France, and Belgium. He joins Strelia Luxembourg from an international firm in Luxembourg.

Jean-Luc Dascotte advises clients on cross-border tax aspects of their operations. He has particular experience in private equity structuring for private clients and investments funds, real estate investments and IP holding. He is also recognised for his expertise in investment finance and in supervising tax audits, conducting tax litigation and performing tax and legal due diligence examinations. Over the last years, Jean-Luc developed a specific expertise in asset protection involving politically sensitive jurisdictions.

Jean-Luc Dascotte is a member of the Luxembourg and Brussels Bars (1995). He graduated from University of Louvain (UCL) (Belgium), Solvay Business School (Belgium) and UC Davis (California, USA). Jean-Luc is recommended in various legal directories, including Legal 500 and the Tax Directors Handbook. He frequently authors contributions in tax matters.

Stanislas Bunetel specialises, for more than 15 years, in tax and corporate law, including international tax consulting, group restructuring, financing activities, real estate transactions, private equity, corporate tax, individual and wealth tax, VAT, tax litigation and incorporation of Luxembourg companies. Thanks to his former role as CEO and Managing Director of BIL Fund & Corporate Services in Luxembourg, Stanislas will also bring to the Luxembourg office his experience on alternative investments structures and labour law.

Stanislas Bunetel is a member of the Luxembourg bar since 2008 and was previously a lawyer at leading Luxembourg and international firms. He holds a master's in law related to tax aspects on asset management from the University of Rennes I.
