09-11-2011: Brussels — 7 November 2011 — Hunton & Williams announces the appointment of Wim Nauwelaerts as Brussels office managing partner. Nauwelaerts, who joined Hunton & Williams in August 2010, will be responsible for providing leadership and coordination with firm leaders to oversee strategic planning and client service initiatives for the Brussels office.
07-11-2011: Berwin Leighton Paisner (BLP) has announced that highly regarded litigator Elaine Whiteford, a barrister who specialises in major competition law disputes in the English and EU courts, is to join its rapidly expanding Competition, EU and Trade Group as a partner. She joins BLP from Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in London.

18-10-2011: Liesbeth Weynants joins Hoyng Monegier as a partner in its Brussels office from Benelux law firm NautaDutilh and brings her team with her, which includes senior associate Christel Brion and junior associate Charlotte Weyne. 13-10-2011: Global law firm K&L Gates LLP welcomes Jeroen Smets as a corporate partner in its Brussels office. Smets joins K&L Gates from Taylor Wessing LLP.

13-09-2011: The Brussels office of global law firm K&L Gates LLP welcomes Flavia Distefano as a partner in its antitrust, competition, and trade regulation practice. Distefano arrives at K&L Gates from McKenna Long & Aldridge LLP, where she headed the firm’s European competition practice.
